PROPOSED AIMS AND ACTIVITIES

1. Friendship, fellowship and fun.
2. Promotion of Folk Art as a craft.
3. Education of artists and covering various styles of folk art.
4. Enhancement of the craft generally.
5. Acknowledgment and recognition of those who have mastered the craft.
6. Liaison with other folk artists and groups of Decorative painters.
7. Sharing of ideas and resources.
8. Exhibition and sales of work.
9. Guest speakers on a range of topics.
10. Learning about publications and products.
11. Participation with other similar groups in New Zealand and Australia and further afield.
12. Inviting overseas experts to share their knowledge with us at conferences.
13. Attendance at overseas conferences.

SOCIAL MEETINGS AND LIBRARY.

The Society meets on a Wednesday evening at St Adians Church Complex, Ascot Avenue, Remuera from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

February, April, May, June, August, October and November are our social nights where we come together to socialise, exchange library books from our extensive library and listen to a quest speaker on a topic of interest to members.

March, May, July, September and December are library only nights running from 7.00pm to 7.45pm. Here members can exchange books and videos from the library and talk to members of the committee. A committee meeting is held from 7.45pm to 9.00pm
