TECHNIQUES

Watercolour technique

- Lightly moisten a suitably sized brush with water and dilute the colours:

complete the picture using watercolour techniques.

- Create an infinite number of colour shade variations easily.

Wash Drawing

- This technique will also work with Neocolor II:

simply use water instead of turpentine.

Stencilling

- Cut a stencil from a sheet of stiff, but not thick paper.

- Spread a colour around the stencil's border.

- Place the stencil on another sheet of paper. - Now use a fingertip to spread the

colour into the interior of the stencil, transferring the design to the second sheet:

create many decorative effects with this technique.

Colour blending

Neocolor I and II artists' crayons can easily be blended, producing

many subtle shade differences.

- Always begin by applying the darkest colours; then add lighter colours.

- Use grey, black or white to dull, darken or lighten colour.
