Matisse Structure Colours of the World

Chief chemist at Matisse, Steven Patterson is always on the lookout for new natural pigments. Over the last few years, he has been working hard in the lab grinding pigments, mixing binders, formulating and shelf testing his latest formulations using pigments sourced from around the world. We are proud to offer 14 new exciting colours sourced from Morocco, Armenia and the ancient world of Maya. In particular, the re-discovery of the composition of Mayan colours, famous for their permanence, is of great interest. As far as we can tell, most of these Mayan colours are so far unique, in a professional artist acrylic formulation, to Matisse.
