MATISSE MM5 250ML MATT MEDIUM

This is an additive for intermixing with Matisse Colours (not a finishing varnish). Incorporation of the medium within the paintwill reduce the sheen of Matisse to a very flat orlow sheen finish suitable for work to be photographed. Resultant dried films of Matisse Colours willlook more like tempera colours or gouache. The useof MM5 Matt Medium in hard edge painting, particularly in large coloured areas is most beneficialasit helps to eliminate side sheen and the unfavourable appearance of accidentally highlighted brushstrokes. As Matisse Colours are highly concentratedpaints, pre-determined mixtures of water andMM5Matt Medium should be the prime factors in hardedge work. Additions of MM1 Drying Retarder or MM3 SurfaceTension Breaker will further facilitate thesatisfactory application of the acrylic paint overlarge flat coloured areas by increasing flow. MM8SpreaderMedium will have similar results inconjunction with the MM5 Matt Medium and the MatisseProfessionalArtist Acrylics.
